ADVOCACY THURSDAY

  • Description :
    Articles

On #AdvocacyThursday this week, we centre on the 16 Days of Activism to end Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Nigeria.

In the last 3 weeks, Lux Terra Leadership Foundation had been involved in trainings for Christian Religious and Community Leaders on the Elimination of this scourge in our society.

And we are happy to report that our advocates have been pulling great strides as they take a stand to speak up and say no to SGBV.

From radio interviews on Ray PowerFM and BreezeFM, to television discussions on KaftanTV and NTA Lafia, to the Chief's Palace at Keana LGA, to road walks in collaboration with other agencies in Lafia, to step-down activities in Calabar, to the Global Partners for Development meeting with SARCs in Minna, to a market square intervention in Aco Estate Sabon Lugbe,  and of course, to just holding up posters to say an emphatic NO to  the menace of SGBV in Nigeria today.

In these 16 days, we call on you to also take a stand, as our advocates have done, to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, to show concern for those who are abused and say an emphatic NO to all forms of sexual and gender-based violence.

Join us on this quest to end SGBV in all our communities!!!
